The NFL is Still Wildin – Deebo Requests a Trade

Deebo? More like Deego:

Yes, I did just write that title. What seemed like an impossibility a few weeks back is now likely coming to fruition. 19Problemz has requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers and there seems to be very little they can do about it. Deebo was spotted in a club over the weekend all but confirming he won’t be back in the Bay Area for the upcoming season. He has stated that he wants to be a wide receiver and a wide receiver only, citing that he is being used as a Swiss army knife instead of an elite one position player. What’s more likely, is that he wants to be paid more than any other wide receiver in history, but it is probably a little hard for me to confirm that personally… If they paid him bucket loads of money, I’m sure he wouldn’t care if he was the wide receiver, running back and team janitor all in one. The Jets are currently the betting favourites to land Samuel should he leave the 49ers, with the Colts following close behind.

2022 NFL Draft:

The 2022 NFL draft kicks off this Thursday night in Vegas. Putting it out there now, all NFL events such as the draft, combine, etc., should be in Vegas. Drunk gamblers hurling cheers and profanities at the various NFL stars and presenters is always a good time. The Jacksonville Jaguars get us started with the first pick in what looks like to be an average at best draft class. Rumour has it that a lot of teams in the top ten are looking to trade out of it – even the Jags with the number one pick. Aidan Hutchinson seemed to be a sure thing at number one a few weeks back and even that seems to be up in the air now. It looks to be between him and Travon Walker for the number one slot, but the Jags are such a poverty franchise they could end up doing something off the wall. This draft will be a disaster for Mock drafters, as no one really knows what teams are going to do. So, if you would like to see me attempt the world’s worst draft, like the Insta post related to this article. One like and I’m in. I clearly want to embarrass myself even more than usual.

Cantlay & Schauffele Win the Zurich Classic:

Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele took down the Zurich Classic team event over the weekend, in what is one of the more intriguing events of the PGA Tour calendar. The American duo edged out their fellow Americans, Sam Burns and Billy Horschel, by two shots to win with a score of -29. The event is a mix of fourball and foursomes, with the winners recording scores of 59 and 60 in the fourballs, and 68 and 72 in the foursomes. Don’t worry lads, I hate foursomes too. Burns and Horschel did their best to come back at the winners in the final round, shooting a 68, but it was a little too late. Lowry and Poulter were best friends in their matching outfits all week, finishing in a very respectable thirteenth place. Jay Haas also made history in the event, as he made the cut with his son Bill, making him the oldest person ever to make the cut of a PGA Tour event, at 68. Up next in the PGA Tour schedule is the Mexico Open, with Jon Rahm heading the field.
