Sunday Week 11 Preview: 21/11/21

by | Mar 26, 2022 | NFL

Alright y’all, here we go. The NAP is 6 from 8 for the season. I also need a nap. Badly. I’m fully goosed from last night and can barely see the screen. The Camden is some craic though.

I’ve had the selections done out since yesterday, so the research is sound. There just won’t be much writing. You’ll just have to trust me. Lol.

A new format for today’s picks. The picks will be graded on a scale:

  • Confident
  • Meh
  • Not confident
  • The Saints

Baltimore Ravens @ Chicago Bears: Over 44.5 (NAP)

Ravens:

  • Current Record: 6-3 (2-2 away).
  • Offence (Yards Per Game, ESPN): Overall – 414.1 (2nd) // Passing – 260.0 (10th) // Rushing – 154.1 (1st).
  • Defence (Yards Allowed Per Game, ESPN): Overall – 371.6 (24th) // Passing – 283.3 (32nd) // Rushing – 88.2 (4th)
  • Points Per Game Stats, ESPN: PPG Scored – 25.7 (12th) // PPG Allowed – 24.1 (22nd)
  • Turnover differential: -5 (27th)

Bears:

  • Current Record: 3-6 (2-2 home).
  • Offence (Yards Per Game, ESPN): Overall – 280.7 (31st) // Passing – 144.1 (32nd) // Rushing – 136.6 (5th).
  • Defence (Yards Allowed Per Game, ESPN): Overall – 348.9 (12th) // Passing – 226.1 (10th) // Rushing – 122.8 (22nd).
  • Points Per Game Stats, ESPN: PPG Scored – 16.7 (29th) // PPG Allowed – 24.9 (23rd).
  • Turnover Differential: -4 (24th)

The Ravens are dead last in passing defence, so that should allow Justin Fields to continue his upward trajectory. The points total is low and I think it is there to be exploited. Lamar and Co. will look to bounce back hard from the Thursday night football disappointment and I think they will. Expect both teams to put up points.

Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans: Titans -10

I could be missing something here, but the Titans only being -10 on the handicap is insane. They are the hottest team in football and are playing the worst. They are also at home ( I think? sure, I don’t know) and should dominate in their own back yard.

On a side note, this is one game I would love to go to. Bit of football and a hape of country music. Shout out to the king of country, Jack O’Niell.

Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills: Bills -6.5

The Bills are currently the number wannnnnn ranked defence in the NFL and are scoring more than other team on that side of the ball. Josh Allen is favourite for the MVP (debatable) and should cook all over a weak Colts secondary. The Bills rush defence is number three, in terms of yards allowed, which means they should slow down Taylor. I love the Bills -6.5 here.

Washington Football Team @ Carolina Panthers: Panthers -2.5

What am I like? Back on the Panthers brigade.

I called the Football Team to cover the spread last week, but I am not getting sucked in to them being a decent team. Washington have Brady’s number and are a bit of a bogey team for him. They won’t have the same joy this week against Carolina. Cam is back and his influence on the locker room shouldn’t be underestimated. The Panthers D is still elite and they should put a lot of pressure on Heinicke.

Detroit Lions @ Cleveland Browns: Browns -12.5

I am so back and forth on this one. If the spread was -9.5 I would be all over this like myself and a Super Junior Box after town. The Browns strength is their running game and the Lions’ weakness is their run defence. The spread is just so high and the Lions can be sticky. This will either be a huge blowout or a very close game. There isn’t an in between.

Dallas Cowboys @ Kansas City Chiefs: Cowboys +3

This is the type of game you turn off redzone for. This should be a cracker. The Cowboys are the number one offence in terms of yards and are streets ahead of second place. The Chiefs bounced back in a big way last week against the the Raiders and I’m praying to god they can sustain it. I have Hill and Mahomes in fantasy. Sit back and enjoy this one, but I couldn’t tell you which way it’s going to go.
