GAME PREVIEW:

Thursday rolls around after an absolute stinker of a Sunday. But we go at it again. Awful hard. Unfortunately, this prime-time game is as about as good as my Sunday predictions. The 0-4 Bears travel to Commander land to take on Washington, who sit on 2-2, with a 1-1 record at home.

Reviewing the Commanders four games, first, has us thinking that new OC Eric Bienemy has the offence looking spicy. Bienemy, formally the OC of the Chiefs, has the Commanders offence averaging 22 points per game, with 20, 33, 3 and 31 scored in their first four games, respectively. The three points, of course isn’t great, but that was against a great Buffalo defence, in week 3. The offence bounced back really well in week four, in their 33-31 overtime loss to the Eagles, which was in Philly. QB, Sam Howell put up a decent 290 yards and one TD, with no picks. Not bad against a pretty good Philly defence. He should have it much easier this week, too, with Chicago ranking 29th in passing yards allowed and 31st in points allowed. Their defence will have opportunity as well in this game. Their strong front seven should have no problem getting through the shaky Bears offensive line and their corners should have some success against a Bears passing game that has only performed in one game this season, albeit a good one. Expect Chase Young and Montez Sweat to have good games. This is a great opportunity for Washington to build on a couple of solid performances this season.

The Bears are in big trouble. Boos rang around the stadium, at the final whistle, in their loss to the Denver Broncos in week 4. 28-14 up going into the fourth quarter against Denver, Chicago managed to throw away a stellar opportunity to get off the mark in 2023. Fields had a great game with four passing TDs and Khalil Herbert ate up ground, logging 103 yards rushing. But lets be real. This is against Denver, who just conceded 70 points to Miami. The Washington defence is a much better unit and should slow down Fields and co a lot more. Denver still sacked Fields four times and I think Washington will better that, as Fields tries to make up for his lack of talent around him.

Commanders take this one and Sam Howell and Terry McLaurin connect for a decent game. Custom bet builder can be found below. 1 point.
