WEEK 16 SUNDAY PROFIT/LOSS: -2.59 points.
NAP RECORD: 3-9.
2023 OVERALL RECORD: 51-80.
2023 TOTAL PROFIT/LOSS: -28.47 points.
2022 TOTAL PROFIT/LOSS: +21.32 points.
TEXANS @ COLTS: Texans -1.5, 1 point @ 10/11.
Both teams are gunning for a playoff spot, currently sitting on 9-7, with both heading to the promised land with a win. Both teams can still make it to the playoffs if they lose, but it gets taken out of their hands, which I’m sure they’d like to avoid. The Colts won this matchup, 31-20, on September 17th, with Anthony Richardson at QB, but step into this one with Minshew under centre. Minshew has been extremely hot and cold this year, with either exceptional play or straight up dirt. Stroud has been phenomenal, but not as good without Tank Dell. The Colts are 5-0 when Minshew doesn’t throw a pick, but this is the most pressure he’ll feel all year. I trust Stroud more (not biased as a Texans fan) to save the day and grab a playoff spot. This such be a belter.
Minshew to throw an INT, 1 point @ 10/11.
STEELERS @ RAVENS: Ravens +3.5, 1 point @ 10/11.
Well aware that the Ravens will be playing their backups in this one, but their team is so good top to bottom. I’m sure they would also like to stop their bitter divisional rival from making the playoffs. This will be a low scoring affair and with the added points coming the way of the Ravens, at home, I do like them to cover the spread here.
Mason Rudolph over 188.5 yards passing, 0.5 point @ 5/6.
Although I think the Ravens will cover, the Steelers/Rudolph should go after this. He also has over 270 yards passing in his two starts.
DALLAS COWBOYS @ WASHINGTON COMMANDERS: Dallas -7.5 in 1st Half, 0.5 point @ evens.
Dallas will likely come out swinging here to try and get this done and dusted by the half. The Commanders have been one of the worst teams in the league, as of late, and will be looking to hold onto their number two draft spot. They may rally late in the second, but this could get ugly in the first half and look like the 45-10 blowout Dallas delivered on Thanksgiving.
BUCCANEERS @ PANTHERS: Bucs -5.5, 1 point @ 10/11. (NAP)
Panthers owner David Tepper just got fined $300K for throwing a drink at a fan during their week 17 game with the Jags. The organisation is in complete disarray, and they are guaranteed the worst record in the league. To make matters worse, they won’t even get the #1 pick next year, due to their trade with the Bears last year. The Bucs clinch the NFC South title with a win, so expect them to come out of the gates hot. Baker is a little banged up but looks like he is going to play. The Panthers have a bottom third rush defence and are 30th in terms of points allowed. Bucs have won six of the last seven as well.
OTHERS:
