2022 TOTAL PROFIT/LOSS: +21.32 points.
BENGALS @ STEELERS: Bengals -2.5, 1 point @ 10/11.
The Cincinnati Bengals will be without Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, but I still like them to continue their strong run of form and extend their win streak to four. Backup QB, Jake Browning, has won his three starts since coming in for Burrow, which included an away win to Jacksonville, three weeks ago. Chase also had a big game in that one but has been relatively quiet since then. The Steelers have lost three on the trot, including a very disappointing 21-18 loss to the Patriots. They also got smoked by the Colts last week and the Cardinals three weeks ago. The Steelers won 16-10 in this match-up a few weeks ago, but the Bengals have won the last two in Pittsburgh. Something is rotten in the state of Pittsburgh, and they take a L here.
BILLS @ CHARGERS: Bills -12.5, 1 point @ 10/11.
The Chargers just got hammered 63-21 to the Raiders and will still be missing, Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen and Joey Bosa. Brandon Staley has been fired and Austin Ekeler has been invisible this season. The Bills are surging and will look to put up a big number to assert their dominance in the AFC. This could get ugly, so look away now Chargers fans.
Additional Bets:
- James Cook anytime, 1 point @ evens.
- Latavius Murray anytime, 0.5 point @ 4.2/1.
COLTS @ FALCONS: Colts +3.5, 1 point @ 4/6.
Can’t really believe the spread on this one. The Falcons are playing like one of the worst teams in the league and just handed the Panthers their second win of the season. They are at home, but the Colts, under new HC, Shane Steichen, are rolling at home and away. The Colts are joint top of the AFC South and are currently 5-2 on the road. Their defence is middle of the pack, but their offence in one of the better ones in the league, even with Minshew under centre. Their one slight weakness is their run defence, which is bottom third, but Arthur Smith is completely brain dead when it comes to Bijan Robinson, so no worries there.
BROWNS @ TEXANS: Flacco over 0.5 INTs, 1.5 points @ 4/6.
Threw 3 INTs last week against the Bears and 1 the week before. Houston’s defence are 14th in the league in INTs. The Bears defence sucks away from home, so hopefully that will lead to Flacco getting after it in the passing game, in turn making a few mistakes.
SEAHAWKS @ TITANS: Titans +3.5, 1 point @ 10/11.
The Titans are a far better team at home, with their last two losses (at home) coming against two divisional rivals, in very close games. The Seahawks may have beaten the Eagles at home last week, but have a 2-5 away record, on the year. The Titans also have a massive win against Miami, under their belt, which came two weeks ago and should be coming into this with a chip on their shoulder, after losing to Houston, last week, while wearing their Houston Oilers jerseys. I’m not sure if Tennessee will win this outright, but I think they’ll definitely cover the 3.5.
